Living Imaging 2011 Workshop

Imaging and its applications in medicine and life sciences
December 1 & 2 - IRCAD, Strasbourg, France

The main subject of the LIVIM 2011 workshop is related to optics used as a tool or solution in medicine, clinical work or biology. By comparing ideas and solutions among the experts and specialists in the field of imaging, LIVIM 2011 ensures an interactive dialogue and provides an excellent opportunity to connect industrial engineers with medical practices.

The workshop deals with issues in medical practice and the research of innovation solutions that will be presented by key doctors during each session’s opening. Possible solutions that meet the medical requirements will be then presented by scientists and industry professionals during each session dedicated to industrial demonstrations on a specific exhibition area.

The Scientific Committee will create a high-quality program that will appeal to a broad array of industrial and academic scientists seeking to share their ideas. It will focus on the state-of-the-art application imaging techniques improved by common efforts of biologists, chemists, physicians and medicine specialists. The LIVIM mission is to enhance interaction among these subdisciplines.

LIVIM 2011 contributes to a better understanding of human diseases and the determination of therapeutics targets. The aim of LIVIM 2011 is to facilitate surgical procedures and/or treatments using new imaging concepts through the development of imaging, biophotonics, automation and virtual tools.
